What I am doing differently this time

This is my second time through UltraMetabolism, and I just came off two months with the Detox Box program.
This time I will not make any assumptions about what I know my body can tolerate. The first time through I "knew" I could eat eggs, but doing the detox box program rigorously taught me that I was wrong.
This time I will not rush food reintroductions, but wait till I see clearly how I'm reacting.
When I did the food reintroductions with the detox box, I separated gluten from wheat by several days. I ate some lovely 8-grain cereal with barley in it, but no wheat, and had no reaction. Same breakfast for 3 days, no problem. Yay, gluten works for me! But then sprouted whole grain wheat toast created havoc. So I'm now a proponent of breaking the food types down. Maybe yogurt will be okay, but cheese and milk not. I will give them each their own trial period.
This time I will not consider the exercise component to be optional, for days when I feel like it.
I will not try to find "products" which meet the criteria, but stick to real whole foods. (Except for Larabars. I love Larabars, with ingredient lists like: "dates, apples, pecans." That's it, for the whole bar! Nothing unpronounceable! And they are good.)
That's about it. I did a pretty good job, otherwise.

Larabars?

Never heard of Larabars - where do you buy them?
I read your message in the nick of time, because I was thinking of adding some stuff that I "know" I'm not allergic to. And I'm only on Day Three of USD!! I had a clue earlier tonight, though, when I added soy milk and frozen blueberries to the mixed berry Ultrashake and had post nasal drip and throat clearing... first time all week. Hmmm.
good point! I have known I

I find Larabars at the local health food store, and also in the health food section at Kroger, if you have Kroger grocery stores. I also get them through a food co-op (which also has rice protein powder, supplements, lots of gluten- and dairy-free foods, lots of organic stuff, all at a discount!). You could probably get Larabars online.
I will say this about Larabars -- I didn't like them until after I went off sugar for a couple of weeks. Now they seem sweet, but they didn't before. So your tastes change. In fact, I had some rice ice cream the other day, and it just didn't taste that great. I think I'm losing my taste for sugar. (Or for a lot of it; I love the fresh fruits, which have sugar.)
My friends, who eat horribly and feed their kids horribly -- just like I did before I started reading Dr. H's books -- think I'm terrible to restrict their foods, no HFCS, no trans fats, no dyes or preservatives, none of the things I know they're allergic to. But you know, they've gotten used to the new stuff, and it's not even been a year yet. So no one's suffering here.
