Start Over or Keep Going?

I did really well with weeks 1-4, but as I started week 5 I fell off the wagon. I ate dairy, gluten, coffee, artificial flavoring - all in a short 2 days. I'm experiencing stomach cramping, gas, diarreah and all kinds of discomfort. I'm fairly certain I do have some type of allergy, causing inflammation, because on top of feeling better than I ever had, I didn't have acne for the first time in my adult or pubescent life. I'd like to narrow that allergy down (probably gluten or dairy) but since I didn't introduce these one at a time I'm not sure where to go from here. Do I start weeks 2-4 over? Or just go into weeks 5-8 like it never happened?

I wish I could answer this for you.  I'm hoping the support people will though because it's a good question, and one that I could have too.  If I had to guess, I'd be back on detox only for a couple of days, then reintroduce those things one by one.  I wonder how long to introduce one item back for before you know you're reacting?  Some are rather insidious.  Best of all in your attitude about falling off because you sure aren't staying off from the sounds of it.  Best wishes in your continued efforts.

The book says to wait at least 2-3 days after introducing an item. I've decided to eliminate everything for a few days and see if my tummy heals. Then I'll add back eggs - which I don't think are an issue and maybe try to continue gluten and dairy free for a few weeks before reintroducing one at a time. After feeling how I did yesterday I feel I hae no choice but to get back on the wagon. Even pizza isn't worth that discomfort.

You can contineu with foods that you know are "safe" and that you are not sensitive too. I would go back to the "safe" foods for a week or so before adding any new.
