Hi,

I'm on day 3 of phase I, am following all the rules, but am creating my own menu plans.

Also trying to only eat amounts I need to not be hungry.

Not seeing much change in weight, but it's only been a few days (plus prep week, which I did successfully except I ate the chocolate for the first 5 days, then finally eliminated it for the last 2 days before beginning phase 1.  I miss that little bit of chocolate after dinner, looking forward to phase 2! )

Do we have to eat exactly what's on those plans in order to lose weight?

I'm on day 2 of phase one, but actually started the detox a few days early.

I am just using the lists of food allowed and making my own ideas for meals, or substituting where I can with what's on the list.  My rationale is that if calories aren't counting, just getting the right foods every 3 hours, as much as I can handle without getting too hungry before the next 3 hours come by, should be admissible.

I'm not a big chocolate fan to begin with, but I'm missing it too.  Cocoa nibs are an aquired taste, I wonder if someone knows how to make them less bitter??

I was also wondering why the broth is strained, and not pureed or something.  Seems like tossing out all that fiber left in the cut up veg is a waste.  Has anyone done this, or should I go puritan and strain the vegs out?

As long as you follow the rules and guidelines you can make up your own menus.

Keep in mind that each person loses weight in different timelines.
