Doing the UltraSimple Diet Doing the UltraSimple Diet

Hi,

I hope someone from Dr.'s staff will be able to tell me if the following are allowed:

Pollaner All Fruit Spread (fruit juice sweetened, whole fruit preserves, jam, no Splenda or other artificial sweeteners)

Frozen, unsweetened Grape Juice concentrate to use in cooking?  I would like to make some fresh cranberry sauce/relish for Thanksgiving and would like to know if it's allowable to use grape juice concentrate to cut the tartness of the cranberries.  If it's allowed, I'll try to come up with a tasty alternative for the traditional cranberry sauce for Thanksgiving.

Thanks!

Tomatoes are a member of the Nightshade family.  Please see page 186-187 of the USD book.

Good luck with starting again!

Thanks Gypsy Jane, I did the USD and just never paid attention if they were on the UM Phase I. I was eating them anyway. However, for the first person who asked and the other who said they are nightshades, I read on another site that if you have Fibromyalgia and some other conditions they are not recommedned. Apparently they can be inflamatory and cause pain.

I really should stop eating them, since I do have fibromyalgia, but a salad is not a salad without them for me or Mirical Whip, oh sorry that's a sandwich. (lol) Another confession, I can't seem to give up dairy either and I know it is causing inflamation too. I think I will try the Hemp Milk, since I don't trust soy and almond milk is just not doing it for me. Someone suggested goat's milk the other day, anyone know about that. Now about cheese..........!#%?.
