Amazing blood pressure results

Toward the end of week one, I couldn't figure out why I felt so tired and weak. I finally started checking my blood pressure. Luckily I have a monitor and cuff at home. Over two days, my average blood pressure had gone down to 88/56 ! Since 120/80 is "normal", I knew something was up. Could this change in the way I've been eating make that much of a difference ?!? Sure, enough.....I took my Lotrel, that I've been on for years, one more day and then decided to quit the Lotrel and carefully monitor my blood pressure several times a day. Here's my result after 3 full days off medication: My average blood pressure after 30 readings is 107/62 ! I sure am happy. Of course I will be talking with my doctor. It is thrilling to know that I can control my blood pressure without relying on drugs. I can't wait to see what my cholesterol has done. ![]()

Thanks for the encouragement. Has any one else noticed blood pressure improvement? I was thinking that for those who don't have monitoring cuffs at home....maybe you could check yours at the pharmacy where they have the blood pressure machines. I'd love to hear what other people have noticed. It keeps me motivated to see changes other than just inches and pounds!

I do home bp monitoring, also, and the last time I checked mine, it was 120/69. I am still on medication so far, but I hope that that can eventually be discontinued as I lose more weight/detox more. BTW, this last measurement was taken after I had accidentally forgotten to take a dose of medication the day before. I usually take my medication daily, but if I am on an unusual morning schedule, I sometimes forget.
