I am a petite woman who has never really had real weight issues but at 47, weight is a lot harder to lose. I currently weigh 120 but for my body frame (and frame of mind) that is 10lbs toomuch. My whole adult life people have said "You are so tiny and petite" and I guess that wa somewhat true. But now,I am uncomfortable in my clothes and body and really want to lose at least 8 lbs. Do you think I will have a harder time loosing since I am not totally overweight?

I am about the same age and weight and have been following Ultrametabolism for 10 weeks, working out 5 days a week.  Have not lost an ounce, would be interested in hearing if you have better success than I!

I am not overweight but I

I am not overweight either (132 lb, 24 % fat) but I could lose 15 pounds. This has been also my question. Since the book (Ultrametabolism diet) doesn't mention the cases of women like you and me who are not overweight but would feel much better if we could lose a little more weight, I was wondering if this diet truly work. Also even before I read the book I was eating very similar diet, so I wonder what changes it can bring this time. The only thing that I feel will make a difference is taking suppliments. I have never taken any sort in my life so this might be something I was missing in the previous diet.

I am hoping also to cure my constipation problem and PMS through this diet.

I am on my preparation phase and will start UMD next week. I will keep posting my changes if any.

You might have better luck with the Ultra Simple diet since it's stricter. I'm not even close to being overweight ( but would like to lose 5 llb) either but found success on USD. (In the 2 days so far I have lost 1 llb.)Smile

Thank you Star5!

I guess I have to order the USD book then. Can you keep your update posted here? I am very interested in how you are doing with USD and the result!

Hi

I am also not overweight but started to put on some weight on my belly. I have done the programme for a week and noticed no difference.

In fact, I was consuming less calories before going on the diet. I was also heating healthy food before the diet. Perhaps it works best for overweight people or those who consumed more calories than before they started the diet. I am disappointed but am back to my normal patterns of eating and with exercise I hope to have better success.

I'm sorry

I'm sorry you didn't lose any pounds. i don't think calories would be a factor though because Dr. Hyman said you need plenty of calories to lose weight. You should add a 0 onto your current weight and that's how many calories you need.

I say this with love

I have been reading your thread and I have had the same thought.

Maybe you are at your optimal weight. If you eat healthy, exercise and feel good than you are wonderful just as you are.

Peace
