I'm getting geared up for starting the UltraDiet next week with th good doctor. We don't have a bathtub for me do the nightly soak. Any suggestions what I could do in place of that? I want to get the most out of this program.

I have muscular dystropy and cannot get in and out otf the tub easily, so I put a chair in the shower and made a paste of the soak materials (epson salt, baking powder and lavender oil. I get a washcloth and rub the mixture on me and sit for the 20 minutes then I turn the shower on hot as I can stand it and wash off.

I wonder if it might be safer and more effective to make a bucket full of solution and sponge it on for twenty minutes. I guess one might feel a little cold using this approach. The idea is to keep the proportions the same and to make the ingredients more easily absorbable while making sure they are adequately diluted. So, for example, if a bathtub holds 50 gallons of water and your bucket holds 5 gallons, you would just divide the ingredients by 10.
I've seen Japanese-style bathtubs in which one soaks in a seated position. Much more practical and comfortable, I would think. Some even have a door on the side. (Drain tub before opening door!)

Saunas are also recommended to accomplish the sweating.
