Last September, I discovered “Ultrametabolism” by sheer accident while walking through a bookstore and it seemed like it had a lot of sound scientific information in it. I work out rigorously and needed to lose weight (I was slightly overweight with a BMI of 26), but the weight would come off slowly or hardly at all. I bought the book and I started the Ultrametabolism diet, I lost several inches along with some weight. But then in January I hit a plateau. I work out 3-5 times a week, and the weight stopped coming off. When I saw this new plan, I wanted to try it to see if this would give me the extra edge to lose more weight and inches. I am trying to meet specific athletic goals, and needless to say this program has worked and I am closer to meeting these goals.

 

I did the Ultrasimple diet for 4 weeks. I just completed the 4th week. I lost 2.5 inches from my waist, almost 1 inch from my hips, ½ inch from my arm, and 2.5 inches from my abdomen. I lost a total of 6 lbs; I started at 130.5 and ended at 124.5. I did not work out during the first week and still lost weight during the first week. After that, I continued to work out as I normally do. I even got a severe sinus infection during this time, and I believe that eating the way I was contributed to my quick recovery.

 

I have received numerous compliments on my skin during this time! People tell me that I look radiant (I think it must be the borage oil!). I also noticed that many of my wrinkles appear softer. The best thing about this diet is that it is motivational; you really see results and it educates you how what you eat can truly affect how you feel. Ever since I did the Ultrametabolism diet, and now the Ultrasimple diet, I feel alert, energetic, and the grogginess/fogginess that I felt has disappeared. I no longer get bloated (I used to gain up to 10 lbs in one day!), which has truly changed my outlook on life and how I feel.

 

I want to thank Dr. Hyman for writing these books and sharing this information with us. It has changed my life. I thought I would be overweight forever, and now I’ve been given the motivation to eat healthy and stick with it so I can maintain what I’ve lost. I cannot express how grateful I am. THANK YOU!

Your story is very well put.  I have never been able to do the things, like totally refrain from all sugar, wheat and processed carbohydrates, that I have been able to do with Dr Hymans plan.  Congratulations on your new state of health.
