I have been on the Ultra Simple Diet for two weeks plus the preparation week, and another on Ultra Metabolism. Before I started these plans, sugar always called and won. In the first week, I just avoided situations where I would be near it. In the past couple of weeks, that has changed. Three food birthday parties at work with a lot of choices of sugar products, during a stressful period, and I just walked over and looked at it. I thought, well, if something really looks worth it, I will have a little piece. (This didn't work in the past). I didn't think any of it looked that enticing!

I also took a quarter of a "natural" snack bar (it has all kinds of veggies in it), for my snack, as I had nothing else at work. It has sugar, but it isn't high. I didn't finish the quarter as it tasted too sweet!  Even my herbal tea ( no sweetners), seemed pleasingly sweet too me. I find that a couple of frozen cherries are the perfect treat now. This change is truly amazing for me! It definitely will help me stay on a healthier track.
Has anyone else found this to be true for you ?

I had the same amazing result - after a lifetime of sugar addiction.  Just keep it up and don't test it too much.  Sometime after I finished the final weeks of UM I started allowing myself to "cheat" here and there and my cravings have come back in force.  I'm actually back on this site today as I am preparing for another 8 weeks with my top goal being to rid myself of the cravings again!

I have also rid myself of the sugar cravings!!!  I can't believe it.  I spent the last 6 months working out and eating very healthy only to lose about 2 pounds. 

One month ago I did the 7 day detox from Ultra Simple Diet & then continued with recipes from the UltraMetabolism and I've almost lost 20 pounds!!!  The cravings are definately gone.

If the rest of my family has to have a night time snack and I can't stand the temptation, I also have been snacking on a few frozen cherries and it's working great!
