I am so happy I started this program. I've lost 5 lbs. on USD, my health has changed for the better and I even had a little sugar on Sat. but noticed a big difference that I can't do that anymore, I just felt bad and felt almost like I was bloated.
I retain salt really bad so I've had to cut salt out of my diet period and once I started cooking my own foods I've never felt better. I did go out to eat on my 3rd day and had a piece of chicken and vegatables tasted great and I still lost a lb.
I'm not sticking to the exercise but I am going to try to start walking now. I know I am moving on the the UMD but feel like going through the USD one more wk to get rid of the sugar I had.
Anyone else feeling good and noticed health difference?
Linda

Congratulations!

Good going, Linda
Tomorrow, I weigh and measure in preparation for my second week on UM. Even though I have a bit of a bug I know it is less severe than if I had not eaten so well for the last 3 weeks. Breathing, too, is so much easier, I can't see myself throwing the health away and returning to my old eating habits.
I don't like figuring out what I'm going to eat. I don't like cooking. I really don't like washing dishes.
So I think that UltraShakes for breakfast and rice and vegetables for lunch will remain with me. Not all the time but often.
Take care, be of good health,
Carolyn59

Hi,
I know what you mean about breathing better, I too am breathing better and have noticed it just in the first week. I am not retaining fluid, I don't feel so bloated and even lost a couple more lbs recently. There are so many changes that I can't believe it. I am thinking of staying with the USD but maybe adding some of the UMD foods once in awhile to break of same old stuff routine.
Thanks,
Linda

After more than 30 years or being severely obese, diabetic and many other health problems, I was thrilled to have found ULTRA METABOLISM. After discussing this program with my husband we came to realize that the methods spoken of in this book is the way we used to eat when we were young, and we never had any weight problems then. We cleaned out our pantry, freezer and refrigerator and began the journey of our lives. We have switched to whole foods, no canned or pre-packaged foods, no high-fructose corn syrups or artificial sweetners, no milk or dairy (except Omega 3 eggs after detox), no refined or enriched foods. Lots of fruits & veggies, only range-fed beef and free range chicken/turkey, no pork lots of fish, beans & legumes, and nuts. In addition we are juicing and will make our own bread after detox. WHAT A DIFFERENCE! I have lost almost 40 lbs and my husband has lost over 10. I have lost a total of 13.75 inches. Blood tests done last week show that after 4 weeks the diabetes is gone and three of the prescription meds I was on for the past 10 years were taken away from me because I no longer need them! No more edema, absolutely no hnunger, and no cravings, and for the first time in over 30 years, I am actually leaving food on my place...I can't hold what I used to! We are hooked for life on the whole food way of eating and we are actually enjoying our meals tremendously. There is no turning back!

I am so glad to hear what you have said. I am also so proud to hear that you've lost so much weight. That's wonderful!! I have realized today that I am addicted to sugar in any form and it is a struggle for me that I don't want to lose. I've noticed so many changes with my health since starting this that I feel I need to stay on the USD a lot longer to get this sugar out of my system once and for all. I know there is sugar in fruit that I can satisfy my craving but I don't want to have that craving or actually right now NEED!! I can do this and with the support of others online that I can talk to about it will help. Linda

Make sure to git rid of ALL ARTIFICIAL sweetners. They will keep you hungry all the time. Also ditch the fat free stuff...stay as natural and whole foods as possible and you will see all your cravings disappear. I have learned to like Stevia...all natural...and it won't hurt you. If you really want to track what you are doing check out http://www.fitday.com/ They have a wonderful tracking program and you will be surprised at how much you can learn about what you are putting in your body nutrition wise. They have a free program or you can pay less than $20 for the whole program (which I recommend). That program has become my best friend!
