Hi everyone,
I'm new here as of today and came across Dr. H's blog about adding Magnesium to the diet. It stated that the minimal amount per day is 300mg and that the best is magnesium citrate, glycinate, taurate etc...
My question is: How many mg's do you take before bed, to aid in sleep and relaxation, and do you have to add any other mineral/vitamin to magnesium to help it to do it's job?
In other words some vitamins/minerals have to have another mineral in order to work...
I would appreciate any and all suggestions as I'm getting off nasty, addictive sleep meds
and want to go the natural route.

Doing the UltraSimple Diet
I started taking a magnesium supplement called Natural Calm, it comes in a powder and dissolves in hot water like alka selter. It's an amazing product. I started taking it about two weeks ago, and I have noticed a hugh difference right away. I sleep like a baby, I don't wake up during the night any more, and I do not wake stiff any more either. My mood has improved, and I have a lot more energy, and my mind is clearer. Amazing product, do a search on the internet for it, I found it at the local health food store. You can buy with or without calcium. I initally bought it without and my first week was amazing, I hadn't felt so good in more years than I can remember. but I think I got a little out of balance by not getting enough calcium, so I bought it with calcium for the mornings, and take it without calcium bofore I go to sleep, and it has worked out great for me. The calcium combination gets me going in the morning, and the magnesium only forumila puts me out like a light at night.
