I just watched Dr. Hyman's video blog about the benefits of whole kernel rye.
Any recommendations for products containing whole kernel rye? Websites for ordering? Brands I might find in my grocery store?
Thanks!

I randomly look at breads (not the ones that seem soft.) Are the 'sprouted" and the "whole kernel" the same thing? They're hard to find. Krogers has some in a cooler near their healthy foods section which is close to the produce. Trader Joes has a little of everything that is good for you. I found something in our local Spartan store that looks like a small brick. The info on it says "feldkamp famous german whole rye bread" . The ingredients are "whole kernel rye, water, whole rye flour, salt, yeast". It cost $2.38 and weighs 17.6 oz (500g). It says there are no preservatives, however it has an (unopened) expiration date of 08/08/08. (How cool is that!) After opening keep cool and dry. Not sure what that means. In the winter my house is cool and dry, at least according to me! I haven't tried it yet.

I've tried that bread, definitely an aquired taste....I can stomach a slice a day for breakfast but nothing you want to make a sandwich with, you couldn't bite through the breat without wearing the filling
