Has anyone made double batches of the ultrabroth and then

frozen the extras?

I did and other than the fact I didn't allow enough room in the glass container for the expansion of the frezing I think it would work great. I unfortunatly ended up with a cracked 1 gallon glass container and ultra broth all over my freezer.

I tried to freeze chilled broth too. I used a mason jar and kept the lid off, but it still cracked and spilled in my freezer. I was avoiding using plastic containers, but I will use them next time. I would rather use glass if anyone has other suggestions.

I use the plastic containers to freeze the chilled broth, but I don't reheat in the plastic. The toxins in the plastic are released with heating (as I understand it).

The frozen broth never tastes quite as good as fresh made, but nothing ever does. :) It still tastes good and gets comments from people at work about how hungry I'm making them.
