Okay, here's what I have for breakfast every day.  It's not exactly the same as the book recipes, so I am posting it here:

1/2 to 3/4 cup almond milk (I use Almond Breeze original)

1/2 banana, frozen*

1 heaping tablespoon rice protein powder

2 tablespoons ground flax seed

1 tablespoon flax oil (I used the flax/borage oil for the first two weeks, but cripes, it's expensive! So now I use the less expensive flax-only oil)

4 or 5 ice cubes

I put everything in the blender except the flax seed, blend it all up, then add the flax seed and one more ice cube and blend it again.  The flax seed really thickens up  the shake and makes it filling.

Yummy!

*I am now using chocolate-flavored rice protein, ONLY because my health food store has not had the unflavored kind for the last month or so.  When I could get it I used the unflavored kind and added an additional 1/2 cup of frozen berries.  The chocolate protein powder has a few more calories (and it's chocolate) so I don't add the berries with it.
