Hello,
I' m about to start the USD, but have a question about purchasing the dinner proteins. I am used to buying small portions of fish or chicken each day, rather than all at one. I don't like the tast of prefrozen fish or poulty. Is it acceptable to buy small portions and cook daily, or do most people buy the 1 1/2 lb. or so, and make it last for the week?

I think being able to buy it more frequently and fresh instead of frozen is ideal. I personally can't get to the store that often, but if you are used to it that is great. The lists are probably geared for those of us who only shop once a week, or less. Good luck!
Trader Joe's chicken

I have found fresh hormone-free, grain-fed, boneless, skinless chicken breast at Trader Joe's. It should keep fresh for a few days. Also, I typically cook for two meals so it's twice as easy and twice as good.
