I purchased Soy protein at GNC today since I couldn't find the Rice Protein.  Anyone think this will be a problem?

FYI ~ most grocery stores now carry soy and rice and almond milk in their health food sections (even in smaller towns) ~ plus it would be less expensive buying in a regular grocery than in buying from GNC.  Good luck !

If you have "O" blood type soy products can shut down your metabolism....

Soy is not a problem UNLESS you are allergic to soy which some people are.  In discussing with the scientists who study blood type, unlike what is proposed in the blood type diet books, there is a lack of evidence to support those nutrition recommendations at this time.  We added blood type to our medical questionnaire and have not seen any correlation in blood type and specific food allergies or sensitivities or metabolism. There is some research to suggest soy protein may be beneficial in lowering cholesterol and have other positive metabolic benefits.

The problem with soy is that it can be a genetically modified crop, thus if you are using soy, be sure it is organic (non-GMO) soy.

Hi. This is my first week on the blog but the beginning of my third week on the program. I was traveling 900 plus miles each way last week to see my mom for Mother's Day, and didn't have internet access while there. My local Whole Foods has the NutriBiotic brand of Rice Protein, so I started on that the first week. But to keep from having to measure the powder and make sure I had a good source of water, I decided to pack a half gallon of the unsweetened soy milk in my cooler. Good move. The shakes are so much better tasting with the soy milk, it tasted downright creamy and decadent compared to the rice powder/water. I don't know what it would be like with soy powder instead. But using the unsweetened soy milk with half a banana and including the almond butter really works for me. (I think it's the UltraShake version #2).
