How can I find "Silk" soy milk without cane juice. Do you all have cane juice in yours? RSVP. MD

You always have to read that label.

A while ago I purchased what I thought would be a wonderful soy milk - Whole Foods 365 Organic Original Soy Milk. First taste told me something was up so I checked the label and sure enough it was sweetened with cane juice (as in sugar cane; a sneaky way to say sugar). Boy, I was mad - but mostly at myself for not reading the label. I was silly to assume Whole Foods would never add sweeteners to soy milk.
I've never tried Silk brand - it's probably very easy to get... but maybe your market only carries sweetened soy milk because that's what most people buy. Ask if they can get unsweetened for you. Trader Joe offers a great unsweetened organic soy milk (it comes in a pale green carton). Good price too.
I buy WESTSOY PLAIN SOYMILK.

I buy WESTSOY PLAIN SOYMILK. INGREDIENTS: SOYBEANS, WATER. Does it get any simpler than that? I applaud you for reading labels. This is key to any healthy diet. If the ingredients are simple and pure and you can actually pronounce the words, then you might be O.K.
Silk Plain does have

Silk Plain does have sweetner, but Silk does make Unsweetened Soy Milk in a dark green container. My Publix carries it but it seems to get lost amonst the all the other options.

Try looking in a different part of the store where they have the boxed non-refrigerated soy and other nut milks. They usually have more options there than in the refrigerator and you can keep them in the cupboard until you need them, saving space in the fridge!
