I started the Ultrawellness diet last summer and have continued to follow the whole foods diet most of the time. I do feel better and many of my Fybromylgia symptoms are much less. I continue to start my day with a Nut Smoothie version 3 every day as my breakfast. Shortly after finishing the smoothie I start coughing. I have tried to figure out what the reaction is by eliminating the nut butter or trying different nut butters and also not using the ground flaxseeds, I've also tried different fruit eliminations but I haven't figured out what is causing the coughing. Does anyone have any other suggestions as to why it makes me cough? It doesn't keep me from craving the smoothie in the morning but I would like to not cough every time I have one.

I agree - you don't want to suffer from coughing after enjoying a smoothie!!
It does seem obvious that you are reacting to one of the ingredients in the shake. I would recommend that you start by trying a shake made only with hypoallergenic rice protein + water...then if that is ok, try the rice protein + Frozen blueberries + water...if that is ok, try the rice protein + frozen blueberries + water + flaxseed ....
There are other versions of shakes that you might also try.
Let me know how this goes for you,
