Using the vegtables from the broth..

So far I am only on my "pre-week" after a fairly toxic,  but fun summer.  Tuds and Tubs.  (totally unnecessary drinks and bites.)   I read the book and agree with everything and hope that it works.   My metabolism at 45 seems to have come to a halt even though I am very active and have a healthy diet.   I am off of cafeine and feel good and with your suggestions, managed to do it headache free!    I made some shakes and the broth, both of which I enjoy.   I could not get myself to throw out the vegtables and do not see why that is necessary as they taste great!  No harm as we need a lot of vegtables anyway right? 

 So I guess my question is this:  Can we use the vegtables from the broth as some of the vegtables in the program?

I had the exact same question, which I submitted as my first blog message. Now I can't find my message to see if anyone replied. But I say, I plan to eat the veggies. Silly and wasteful not to. I haven't started the diet yet, but years ago was on Dr. Berger's Immune Power Diet, which was similar in many respects.

I submitted this question to the nutritionist, and she said no, they won't have any nutrition left. But we're very poor and can't afford to throw them away. (They didn't cook all that long!). So I'm using them to bulk up some of the vegetable recipes, so there will still be fresh vegetables as well.
