Totally confused about canola oil & olive oil

I've searched this site for canola oil and found that Dr. Hyman is not in favor of it. I'm wondering if this includes cold expeller-pressed canola oil too and, if so, why? I love olive oil and usually use it for cooking but I've also read from some sources that cooking at a higher heat than low with olive oil causes it to break down and become a source of free radicals. This is obviously a topic on which there's disagreement all around. Could one of the nutritionists shed some light here please?
