Hi Joebuck, No white rice on the Ultrasimple Diet and the sushi rice has sugar in it too. Don't know about seaweed salad--never had it. We are thinking about trying a little of the brown rice syrup in a little brown rice since we have entered into Phase II to be prepared for one of my sticky rice with sesame seed cravings. The wheat free Tamari (you get it at your local health food store) tastes exactly the same as soy sauce. Good luck, Mama Foodie
My local sushi restaurant makes me brown rice sushi with salmon, avocado and asparagus. I think all those ingredients are o.k.I've also done the same with shrimp. I think you can use low soium soy sauce also, as long as you are out of the detox pahse, and wasabi powder is o.k. also.
I'm in week 4 and I've lost 13 lbs. so far, I think they key to sticking with this is to get creative with options we have, and find the ingredients you like.

I prefer using Bragg's Amino Acids instead of soy sauce - sodium content is WAY less than soy sauce but otherwise they taste quite similar.
