I don't have any answers to the questions about supplements but can personally attest to the fact that gas producing foods aren't the culprit alone. It is foods that they are eaten with that conbine to make a gas problem. Beans cabbage, eaten as part of the properly followed ultrasimple diet will not cause excessive flatulance.

If I just eat a bowl of beans I bloat so bad. I have stayed a way from them for years! I do try them and it still happens!
Today is my 4th day have lost 3 lbs. but I am sick today can only keep water down! I hope it is part of it. I plan to try some broth today. If I do not move around I am fine today. Hope tomorrow is a better day.

Is anyone familiar w/the supplement recomended in the book, made up of calcium, magnesium and D3? It took a while to find it, w/the correct source of minerals stated. However; there is standard D400, in the food based multi-vitamin, mineral tablet I found. I do not know whether or not to continue the multiple? I don't seem to be able to find a place on here to write directly to Dr. Oz ! (Hyman). I'd apreciate any feedback on this. I know Vitamin D is not water soluble and you can't take too much. Thanx !

Hi
There is a thread that is answered by him or his associates. I stumbled across it by scrolling down the main message board page. I remember reading to take the vit d in addition to any vit d contained in the multivite. Hope that helps.
Lisa.

Yes thank you. I actually stopped in today where I bought it and inquired. They said it was alright to take both; that the dosage recomended was high andyway. It can really be confusing sometimes combining the right things. i've been studying for so many yrs. and am still learning. Thanx for taking the time to answer. My book's out on loan.

I am now adding foods, done with phase I of Ultra Meatb. I didn't take any supplements, not even vitamins during the first 3 cleanse weeks - and I was quite fatigued and exhausted after work every day.
Last week I found some gluten, vegetarian, vitamins - which include antioxidants - in chewable form (can't take big pills) and found that my energy level is much better! I mean markedly better. The only drawback I'm having is hard to pass stools, which is odd since that was NOT a problem during the cleanse phase. I think it may be more of an issue of not eating so many vegetables and olive oil due to being able to eat other things like eggs, sprouted bread, etc.
If nothing else, I'd recommend a good multivitamin to keep your energy up while you detox.
