ok, so I have commited to this and am on my review week before I start. I am about 30-40 lbs overweight but the big thing is the health. I might have an undiagnosed FMA for the past 15 years.
All my blood tests are always normal. I have a battery of tests run every year. BUT I checked my CRP this time and it was really elevated.
As a health professional, this healthy change makes perfect sence and I am thrilled to have the vidios and support to give it a go. But I am concerned how it is going to work with no GB and thyroid.
With no gall bladder for the last 6 years, how is the small amount of bile in my liver going to keep up?
Also, I had radioactive iodine in 79 for graves disease/hyperthyroidism and with 2 uptakes later, it shows that I have NO gland tissue left at all, so I am on a small dose of thyroid every day. But the blood tests every 6 months show my level as high still. Does'nt make sence and the MD's have no clue why.
Ok, all you intellegent people out thier, what am I missing? Any ideas on the above or anyone else in the same boat as me? How will diet affect this as well? any guesses or thoughts appriciated.

I'm curious also because I

My mom and sister and I are in week two of the USD. My mom has no gall bladder. She seemed to be the least healthy of us three when we started, but she has had the least amount of symptoms (almost none !) out of the three of us ... interesting ! She does not seem to have suffered any adverse effects due to her lack of gall bladder.

I also have no gall bladder. It was removed in 2005. I had my CRP checked last year and it was up to 38.5! (Normal was less than 0.8). I had arthritis like pain in my hands and knees, but doctors could not confim a diagnosis. I started eating healthier and my CRP dropped down to about 8.3. Now that I'm on US/UM the pain in my hands and knees is almost gone and I'm sure my CRP is down as weel, but have not made the appointment to have it checked as yet. I have been on the "diet" now for probably a month and a half and have had no issues related to not having a gall bladder. I have lost about 10.5 pounds and have stalled (but that is probably due to slacking on the working out a bit). I know I can't speak for everyone, but I have not had any issues (at least so far!) and I feel better than I have in a long, long time!

I did not start the Ultrametabolsim but I have been losing weight steadily after gallbladder removal. I haven't changed my diet or level of activity and before the
surgery, I was considerably overweight. Now my weight has gone down. The only thing I can think of is that my metabolism changed after the surgery. I do not know what to do. Start the UB or just wait it out and see what happens. I think I will get there on my own. Also I am a little concerned don`t want to affect my body in a negative way. Any thoughts ?
