I am currently reading the UltraSimple book and wonder what the difference is with the UltraMetabolism. Is it just that it is an 8 week program rather than 7 days? Are they the same in any way? Can I switch to the UltraMetabolism after completing the UltraSimple, to be able to break the diet? I haven't been able to find anything on which diet was created first, why there are 2 diets or how and if they can be combined. Any info is appreciated.
Thanks

I seem to recall from my Ultrasimple Diet dook, Dr. Hyman said that he created the USD for folks who thought the Ultrametabolism was too long and they were not likely to start it. I think he said that the USD was a shorter version designed to give you real and noticable results in a short time.
I was a beta tester and it was my interpretation that if one didn't want to invest the time in the longer plan, they could give the shorter one a try. If you are pleased with the shorter plan's results and feel it's right for you then move onto the longer plan.
I will differ to others who might know more but that is how I saw it.
Is that the differance

There are several differences between the two plans. The USD was developed for the people who do better with quick results to stay motivated. The USD has a more restrictive foods to avoid list, and because of that I feel it is a better place to start for the elimination of potential allergens that could cause inflamation and other problems. The USD has mostly shakes for breakfast and for snacks along with the broth. However, I do have concerns with rapid weight loss due to my personal results.
I am not sure why you chose to receive the food for the UM plan first, if you read the USD. However the UM is a really awesome plan, but to get the most benifits from it you should read the book and take all the screening tests to determine if there are specific areas from the 7 keys that could be affecting your overall health and purchase the supplements.
You are probably going to be very confused by the differences between what you have read and the food you will receive. I would try to check with the food supplier and see if you can make the change to the USD or at the very least speed read the UM.
Best of luck
