I am in my last week of phase I and can't get over the feeling of constant hunger and incredible fatigue. I do exercise but can't go all out because of these symptoms. I have to have an afternoon nap every day just to make it to the end of the day. I'm really wondering if I am hypoglycemic. Any suggestions anyone?

Are you eating enough?

The number of calories we need depends on a lot of things but body weight, muscle mass and activity are particularly important. Those vary a lot from person to person. It's important to eat enough to get as least as many calories as your resting metabolism uses in a day. If you don't eat enough to cover your resting needs (what you'd need if
you laid in bed 24 hours a day), you'll feel lousy and your weight loss
will slow down as your body tried to cope with apparent starvation. 10 calories per pound is a good rough estimate for most people but some people need more.
Most of the foods in the UltraSimple Diet and UltraMetabolism have a low glycemic index. If you're eating those on the recommended schedule (breakfast, lunch, dinner and two snacks during the day), I'd be surprised if you're hypoglycemic.
I hope you're feeling better. If you think you're eating enough of the right things at the right time, it would probably be a good idea to post a message in the Ask the Nutritionist or Ask the Doctor discussion.
Good Luck!

Frances has some really good points. Ensuring that your calorie intake is right up there is crucial and if you are still hungry it may mean you aren't. There are some free online programs that help you track it. If you enter a couple of days and are good, then that may not be your problem.
Another thing to try is to measure and weigh things. At least for a little bit. It surprising how we think we know how much 6 oz of fish is, and we short ourselves. There are also some places on the internet that can give you an idea of portion sizes by using your hand or other comparisons but for me it was better to actually get out the measuring cup and buy a small food scale. Now I don't need it as much but every once in a while I will check to make sure I'm still on track.
If all that's ok, it could possibly be an allergy to something still in your diet. For me it was rice. It's true that most people aren't allergic to rice and when a girl at work told me she was I laughed at her... and then got my allergy results back. Never laugh at other people - there is a very wonderful cosmic sense of humor that will laugh back. :)
