Exercise, sleep problems while on the diet

I'm doing the Ultramind Solution, and have two problems that concern me. First, I bicycle to work and back, a 25 mile round trip. Without the carbohydrates and glucose, I got progressively more tired, and finally had to quit riding. I hate using the car ... is a glucose gel okay to kickstart my energy while riding? Don't want to negate the diet.
Now onto the sleep problems. I'm taking the GABA, Dopamine and Serotonin supplements. At the same time, I've recently been diagnosed with REM Behavior Disorder (which is why I started the Ultramind Solution in the first place) and at the same time I started taking the Ultramind supplements, the doctor put me on Clonazapan, which worked great the first few nights. On the same night that I first added the dl-Phenylalanine, I also was supposed to double the amount of Clonazapan, but in spite of double the dose, the Clonazapan lost its effectiveness, and I'm again physically acting out my dreams and talking in my sleep, distrubing my wife and making her so nervous that she doesn't sleep, and I wake up exhausted. Should I cut out both the l-Tyrosine and dl-Phenylalnine together and just not do the dopamine support? Should I do it gradually? Should I continue with it? The meds and the supplements seem to be working against each other.

Do you think some protein might sustain your enegy level during the ride?
I can eat an egg and swim around in a pool for 1.5 hours, and I'm a person who runs out of energy quicky. Another guy said he might just eat a tablespoon or two of peanut butter and he swims much further than I do and for longer.
On the other hand, maybe it's just lack of rest.
I've heard about 5-HTP (serotonin precursor) helping the mind to "disconnect" from the body at night, the way it's supposed to, preventing the body from acting out dreams.
To me it sounds like you have too many new supplements floating around at
one time to know what's doing what. You have a medication as well. If it were me, I'd most likely stick with the "essentials" for a while with either the medication OR the 5-HTP.
(I actually use the next level in the chain after serotonin--melatonin--to help with what I've self-diagnosed as "delayed sleep-phase syndrome." I only use 0.5mg at the most, but it makes a huge difference.)
