End of week one, no weight loss what so ever! Arrrggghhh!-NUTRITIONIST I NEED INPUT

Doing the UltraSimple Diet 
I am passing this on from my friend who is doing this program with me. I have lost 7 1/2 pounds the first week and I am not even being religious with it. So I don't understand why she isn't.
What am I doing wrong? I am following the check list so religiously, eating only exactly what i am allowed and doing so well at keeping the schedule too! I also excercise 1/2 hour in the morning and 1/2 hour at night. Also, I AM STARVING! And so sick of rice and vegi's.
What is going on here? How can I help her?

Maybe your friend is not eating enough calories. If you don't get enough calories, your body thinks it's starving and you don't lose any weight. As I understand the program, you are supposed to eat if you get hungry, and you can have anything on the plan. I have been having nuts when I get hungry in the afternoon and some extra chicken breast sometimes. Good luck!
