Corn is on our foods to avoid list for the USD detox and reintroduction phase one, which last for two weeks. Then in phase two of this plan you can add it back. If you only do the detox for one week that would be three weeks total.
For me it will be one of the first food to reintroduce to my allowed list, because I think corn tortillas would be helpful to use as a wrap and still avoid wheat.
However if you are asking about it, you must love it or have very few vegetables that you do like to eat. So, I will add that the Ultra Metabolism book allows corn in it's phase one. You have to deciede based on your needs. Just a word of caution, if you feel like you can't give corn up it could actually be an allergen for you. I would at least omit it for one week then reintroduce and monitor it for allergy symtoms.
*Sorry to those who may have read my first post on this topic. I read the reintroduction segment in the USD and realized I quoted wrong.
