I've noticed in the Companion Guide that the checklist pages for each day of the plan don't include a protein at lunch... but the prepared meals I ordered include a protein.  I'm assuming that it is an oversight in the downloadable companion guide... correct??

This is a very good question. I hope someone can clarify soon!! I have been eating a veggie and rice lunch for the past 3 days!

I looked at the prepared meals and wondered the same thing.  I had my protein at lunch and just had rice and veggies for dinner.

I took a look at the Ultrasimple book and it said exactly as the guide did.  I am wondering now if it is a typo in both the book and guide or its some error in shipping.  I hope someone could clarify this soon.

That is odd.  When you order the meals prepared, they have a protien for each lunch and dinner.  There is only one meat per day, but the lunch has a bean type dish.

I printed a lot of the recipes off of the companion guide and have made several of them.  I also have had beans, rice and vegs for lunch.  Then rice, vegs. and chic. or fish for dinner.  I was wondering if you were suppose to have both beans and rice at the same meal.  I'm on day 3.  Haven't lost any weight yet but feel like it's coming.  Hope I feel better tomorrow and not so irritable.

The book lists the Ultra Shake for lunch as optional, which is a protein.  I've been doing a Shake for lunch with the rice and vegetable.  Seems to work, though I'm finding that I can't eat an entire shake.
