I am done with the USD, but still eating many of the same things and still eating all whole foods and eating very little to no sugar, coffee, or alcohol. I am wondering though if I wanted to sweeten up my smoothies a bit, what would be the better choice: organic 100% apple juice (not from concentrate), or organic agave nectar? Or is either one a good choice?

Hi Maxzack, what receipe are you following? My son makes the one using almond butter, banana, and a sweet fruit like frozen strawberries or cherries and a small amount of unsweetened soy milk. The fruit makes it very sweet--are you using berries that are not sweet--blackberries, etc? Try varying your ingredients are making different versions. If you really must have it sweeter, I guess you can use some of the brown rice syrup--it is sweeter than anything-maybe the nutritionist could comment on this. Hope this helps, mama foodie

What about Zero? It's organic and you can buy it at Whole Foods. It's not as sweet as sugar, so you might use a little more, but it tastes exactly like sugar. It also comes in packets like all the other sweeteners, so you can take it with you.

I would recommend trying the agave nectar.
