I recently heard there is some connection between chemicals and auto immune disease. For about the last 3-4 years I have worked with cleaning solutions in my job and we have our home sprayed with pesticides every month. I feel it has had some effect on my health, I am tired all the time, and struggle with weight gain, some depression, and digestion problem. I would appreciate if anyone has any insight on a connection or a solution. I have had no luck with mainstream doctors. Thank You

I've just finished reading the AutoImmune Epidemic and firmly believe that there is a link between AI disease and chemicals. I have Psoriatic Arthritis (psoriasis and arthritis) and after seeing doctors and specialists for 7 months, finally diagnosed myself via the internet. I got my diagnosis confirmed through a Rheumatologist a month later. Have you seen this type of doctor? Or maybe a gastroenterologist? Typically, they are the only ones that can help diagnose you. I know these are considered mainstream, but if you haven't seen these types of doctors it may help in getting a diagnosis. One thing I've been wanting to try is biofeedback - google it and see what you think. I'm also interested in Accupuncture and Homeopathy, I just don't live in an area where those types of services are easy to find. But, it sounds like Dr. Hyman has some great information on toxin and heavy metal build up in your body and doing a detox program. That is what I'm working on preparing to do myself. I think starting with diet is a great place to begin as it's something you can control. Use a journal and compare your symptoms with what you've eaten and see if you can find any correlation.
Hope you find something that will lead you to some answers!!
