I've been using Leslie Sanson's Walk Away the Pounds video's & dvd's off and on for several years now and when I'm consistent with them, I can really feel the difference in how I look and feel.

In January, I bought her Walk Slim dvd's from a QVC Today's Special Value.  Along with the Ultra Simple Diet (I started Feb 2), I've been using these dvd's for my daily walking.  They Rock!  The Fast Start 1 & 2 Mile, 4 Fast miles and 4 Really Big Miles all include some sort of interval training.  You can choose to go low impact through the intervals if you want, but it's been fun for me to try to keep up as I can.  The 3 Fast Miles (included in the same case with the Fast Start 1 & 2 Mile dvd) is just walking, no intervals, but it's still an awesome workout.  In Ultra Metabolism, Dr. Hyman recommended doing interval training every other day, and walking 30 to 60 minutes at least 5 days a week.

I've seen the dvd's at Amazon, and I think they might be at Best Buy locally.  I haven't looked at Target or Walmart.

Here's the link for the QVC package - it's still at a really decent price.

Hi,

I don't use walking-specific workout tapes or 'casts when I use my treadmill, but I DEFINITELY prefer to listen to the radio, talk shows, music, something while I walk.  It does seem to make that time go by more pleasantly and quickly!

I like several Yoga Journal yoga DVDs I had collected over the years, I've got a couple of Pilates workouts in my library too.  And I occasionally mix up my weight training work by changing to a new routine from Shape magazine or elsewhere, or I just do some real basic set of weight moves.

I think that intervals are really important -- they really make a difference for me when I do them, as opposed to when I stick to straight walking at the same pace.

My next challenge is that the auto incline is broken on my (old) treadmill.  I have both a new washing machine in my future, AND a new treadmill.  I don't know which is harder for me to shop for!! Surprised
