I started the program last Monday and was excited by Saturday I lost 9 pounds! ![]()
Then came Mother's Day.......I ate fine for breakfast and lunch.....then came dinner.....we had steaks to celebrate the great mother's in our family. I should of brought some chicken. I ate the steak with a small amount of mashed potato and later had a piece of cheese cake. I was so depressed by the end of the night.
Today...I am back on track. I hope to loose that pound and more this week!
I am finding it easy this morning to get back on track, last week went by with no problems and I was always satisfied. Love the shakes with almond milk, not so excited about the broth, for some reason it tastes too much like cabbage.

Yep, this happened to me

Yep, this happened to me too, a pound up. I figure it will come off in a day or so, but my weight loss has slowed down. I hope there will be a change soon............
Let's keep trying!

How long have you been on the diet?
I lost the pound and a half but it took 2 days! That is depressing me, that should of been 2 days of additional loss and not loss from working off that dinner.
This is the start of my 2nd week, I hope to loose some thing and that will keep me excited about it. Otherwise I will end up getting frustrated again and give up and I can't do that this time!
So let's keep trying!
This is my third week. I

This is my third week. I lost 5 pounds the first week and lots of inches. Then last week I lost 1 1/2 and gained back 1. So I hope I will start going down again or frustration will set in. I did loose inches though the second week so that is good. I do feel good, more alert and energetic. I guess I have to kick myself in gear and start exercising. Good luck....................
Inspiring story!

An 8 lb loss is amazing - you should be so proud of yourself. Don't let that 1lb get you down. It is just that water weight issue, and if you stick to it, it will correct itself. :)
You are an inspiration - and you got me all looking forward to getting this week done :)

I just can't stay away from the scale in the morning....I think I need it to keep going. If I gain, I would work harder, if I loose or stay the same I am happy! I would just die and give up if after a week I gained.
I so need this program and I can actually say I do feel better. I am a survivor of Hodgkins Disease (thyroid cancer) and could never get my metabolism to work. This has worked out great and I am never hungry. And I can get out of bed in the morning now with no pain and I am not as tired as before, before I would need a truck to drag me out of bed.
I have another get together this weekend, I will try my best!
Let's all keep trying, we will feel better and look great!
Sudden weight gain

I've had this happen -- a pound or two of weight, overnight. It has to be water, because no one stores fat that fast. And it's seeming to me that water is the main ingredient of inflammation. I mean, inflammation is a bunch of fluid, and you can't have the fluid without water. So I'm guessing, right now, that things I'm allergic to make me retain water. (That and menstrual cycles, but that's another story...) You ate nightshades (potato), hormones and antibiotics (beef), dairy, gluten, and sugar (cheesecake). Lots of potential there for allergies, even if you ate small portions. So eventually, you could discover what you're allergic to, and that might stop the sudden weight gain.
By the way, I weigh every morning. Research says that most thin people do that, they stay on top of their weight and deal with gains before they get out of hand. But I've found that the daily weight tells me something. I might gain suddenly because I ate an allergen, or because of my cycle, or even because of an environmental allergen or stress. I look at my weight as evidence.
I used Word to make an allergy log. There's a little picture of a girl on the page, so I can easily mark "what hurts." That will help me spot patterns later. I keep track of weather/allergens, everything I eat, exercise, etc. I'll email you a copy if you send me a message.

This is general medical information only. For analysis, diagnosis and prescriptions, consult your doctor or other medical professional.
Yes, data from the National Weight Control Registry which has been tracking individuals successful in achieving and maintaining healthy weight has found that daily weigh-ins is one strategy to help with the big problem of keeping weight off once it is lost.
In addition, new research on the gut and obesity suggest changes in the gut environment (perhaps caused by pathogens such as bacteria, yeast, viruses, ) and possibly food allergens make it more difficult to lose body fat.
Keep up the great work with your allergy log as it can be a very revealing navigational tool to optimal health
