I am in the sixth week of the diet, I have losing 1.5 to 2 pounds per week, total cut out of refined sugar, pop, neraly all white flour items, am taking the recommended herbal and dietary supplements, woking out 45-60 minutes 5 days/week, mostly interval training and free weights. Now for the last 10 days I have been stuck at the same weight level. I have rechecked by diet log, comparing my intake to the current period and my weight loss periods, no noticable difference.
What can you recommend to punch through this wall? Don;t want to fail at this, I feel great and never hungry or food impulsive.

I've seen a lot of posts on plateaus - on this and other sites. I am also going through a plateau right now as well. It could be your body needs time to adapt to the changes you are making. As you lose weight, internal organs shift, etc. as the body changes. One way that was suggested is to shake up your routine a bit. If you have been doing the same intesity work outs, kick it up a notch. I also heard that if you start eating the same foods over and over, you might get into a rut there as well. Change your diet a bit - eat something a little different (but still within the guideline). You might also want to double-check and make sure you haven't let anything slip in that is not within the recommendations. You did mention that you haven't cut out all white flour items....could this be holding you back? You might try staying off for a little while and then once you start losing again, then incorporate it back in, if you must. Another idea is that while your weight is not decreasing, you could be gaining muscle (which weighs more than fat) and that is a good thing. How are your clothes fitting? How are you feeling? That is generally a better indication of how you are doing. Don't always rely so heavily on the scale. If you are almost down to your goal weight, it is also more difficult to lose and may palteau for awhile or you may have, in fact, reached your ideal body weight (for your body and not necessarily what you want it to be). I know for me, I would love to be a size 2, but I know that will never happen!! :) Good luck to you!
