Hi:  My husband and I are on week two of detox.  When I start to put my own meal plans together I'm wondering how I should think about it?  At each meal it seems to be 4 oz protein or 1/4 c. nuts.... fiber (but how many grams?)... veggies...one fruit 2-3X/day.  What are the basic guidelines that I should follow when i start to use my own recipes and own meal plans?  Thanks very much for the help.

Hi Christina,

I'm wondering the same as lakeview, I've looked thru the Ultrametabolism book for the guidelines you talked about and can't seem to find specific guidelines.  Is there some formula for structuring daily menus?  Like 5 proteins, 2 fruits, 1 whole grain, 5 veggies, 2 starchy veggies, ??grams of fat.  Thanks!

Christina:  On p.212 the Ultrametabolism Prescription is laid out.... but it just says a protein at breakfast, eat frequently, control the glycemic load.  Is there anything more exact....  like meatless protein at breakfast and lunch...if meatless at lunch have 4 oz of protein at dinner....  when can you afford to have a side dish with your dinner or lunch?  Something more exact???  Thanks.
