Once again I am inquiring about the addition of fructose to a calcium, magnesium, D3 supplement. I need to replace it now and can find no other suitable sources of the minerals when combined with D3. Is is detrimental to have a small amount of fructose added to it--it's a liquid supplement. I would really apreciate an answer on this. Thanxx.

The amount is importatnt

I don't think a little fructose is a problem. Does it say how much fructose is in each dose?
If you decide to use the supplement with fructose, it's probably a good idea to take it with a meal or snack.
Supplements with calcium, magnesium and D3 seem to be hard to find. I'm going to do a little more looking but i think I'm going to continue to take the calcium and magnesium citrate that I'm taking now and get the D3 separately.

Thank you for replying. I have been without the magnesium now for a few weeks, and don't like it. I apreciate the response. Yes, it is 3 grams of fructose,(not corn syrup).Equals 3 grams carb.I would think it would be accumaulative though, and he said it turns to fat? I don't know why they have not repsonded, when he stressed the importance of this. Also I am having trouble finding even just the calcium, magnesium, in the correct sources together without the D3. I can only find the less absorbable sources that he said should be avoided.Still not sure, but thanx. I submitted this to the doctor section but got no response there either.

You should ask the nutritionist if you want a conclusive answer. I have been reading these posts since June and have never seen a response from the Doc himself. If it was me, 3 grams is really a trace amount and the benefits of the magnesium should out weigh that amount. I certainly would not do without while you wait for an answer.
Thanx! but the nutritionist

Thanx! but the nutritionist did not reply either. Who does answer these things; just viewers? discouraging. Nice of you to reply. yeah I think you may be rite but over a long period? Anyway, I did find a tablet that has the 3 essential ing. however I'm sure the liquid was more absorbable? Esp since we find it hard to absorb them as it is. Meanwhile i'll use this till I get an anwere! I am very sensitive to sugar so I like to avoid it wherever I can. I don't know about the fructose and amounts, etc. Thanx again. Tmoorehead

I know it can be frustrating when you are in a hurry for an answer, but let's not be too hard on the nutritionist. :) I know they are working very hard with patients at the clinic and doing this when they can. It can sometimes take a couple of weeks for an answer as this is not their primary function.
Personally, as a patient of the clinic, I would rather see them answering my phone calls and emails promptly as I am a paying "customer" (and they are fantastic!) though it's really great to see them in here as well. :) I asked a question on here and it took a few weeks for the nutritionist to answer me too. I got my answer and didn't have to pay for it. I think asking them for free advice just needs a little more patience. Afterall, none of us got sick over night, so a little wait won't do too much more than we've already done to ourselves.
Use your best judgement for now. Whatever strides forward you are making won't be a waste, even if you have to modify it a bit later. Ask the health food store nutritionist. They can help too.
