I went to see a doctor in functional medicine about 2-3 weeks ago, and she is about 99% sure I have an overgrowth of a parasite. I did a stool test to find out for sure but I read testing for parasites is inaccurate. I haven't gotten the results yet and I was wondering if it was okay to go on the a parasite cleanse even if the test result turns out negative. Is it harmful to your health if you don't have a parasite? Or is it still okay with many health benefits? Thank you.
