Hello, I am new to this site.
Do you have any studies re how increasing one's metabolism rate correlates to recent studies indicating Parkinson's and other neurologocal diseases may be linked to high levels of lipid peroxide, C-reactive protein and homocystein which increase free radical activity, oxidation and inflammation and reduce glutathione levels?
Thank you.

This is general medical information only. For analysis, diagnosis and prescriptions, consult your doctor or other medical professional.
What we do know is that in neurodegenerative diseases such as Parkinson's, increased oxidative stress and inflammation are core clincial imbalances that influence metabolic processes.
In addition, underlying infections (bacerial and viral) may be another root cause and should be explored further. I just read a paper just published on this topic and as a former caregiver for my mom who had ALS, I am deeply interested in neuro-nutrition. I always believed that "inflammation and infection" was underlying her diagnosis but it was challenging to discuss with some of the world's best neurologists...
Welcome to the site and enjoy!

In your reply, you mentioned a recent paper on this topic. Were food allergies, hormone or enzyme imbalances mentioned? Is this study available to the public? Thanks.
