Lymes Disease

Dear Dr. Hyman,

I would appreciate hearing your views on how to treat Lymes Disease. I've just received a positive blood test result and must have gotten it around 1990. It would explain alot of my symptoms (especially advanced arthritis) which have been attributed to many other causes. It's been suggested I do a stress test (3 wks on doxycycline with urine samples days 5, 7, & 12) to confirm the findings. How accurate are these tests, and what treatments are best for a long-term conditon (I don't want to be on antibiotics for a year!).

PS I already take excellent care of myself through exercise, correct diet and supplements.
