I have been following all the news regarding fructose and I am concerned about the addition of it to a calcium, magnesium supplement I was using. I have run out and can not find a combination such as that with D3, as recommended without the fructose. It is a liquid supplement. I have inquired about this before but have not received an answer yet. It is just fructose, not corn syrup. Is this (3 mg. i believe), harmful and accumulative or not?  Thanx

3 milligrams or 3 grams

3 mg of fructose is a tiny amount and probably would make no difference at all. 3 grams is more likely. That's not a lot (12 calories). I doubt that's enough to cause a problem if you're not eating a significant amount of sugar other than what occurs naturally in fruits, vegetables, and dairy products.

You might want to check the label and then post a message in Ask the Nutritionist.

Hi again!  Yes you're prob. rite. Most likely it is 3 grams. But he made it sound as if it should be avoided altogether. It is not a natural sugar. He said it is processed as fat and not it the way sugar usually is.I realize the liquid isn't the only form but thought it would be better. These supplements are not easy to find. In the meantime i've been trying to find an alternative but have been unsuccessful. Tmoorehead
