Still no weight loss...

And now I'm still struggling to get enough calories in. I stopped losing weight this week and decided to check out my calories because I hadn't really thought about them since I started 4 weeks ago. I'm back to 900 to 1300 a day again! All weekend I made a concerted effort to try and increase my calories, because that is all I am taking in. That doesn't even include any exercise or saunas that take away calories! Some days I'm actually in a caloric deficit with two 30 min saunas and a 40 min walk.

My skin actually went to sandpaper this weekend too. I'm not sure why. It was so soft and smooth and then blam... first my feet dried out, then my hands, then my entire body. I thought it might be from lack of water but I'm taking in 3 to 4 litres a day! I'm starting to wonder if my thyroid isn't starting to feel the stress a bit.

Yeast die-off

That may be the reason for my excess bloating and emotional blowup. Those nasty yeasties can really kick the crap out of you, dead or alive. I'm more in control now, of my hormones anyway. I have a radiation hazard sign on my cubicle at work though. Is it rather ironic I work for a gas transmission company? I wonder if I can sell off to them? I swear I have enough methane to power my vehicle all the way to work and back home.

I'm doing the yoyo thing with weight, but as disappointing as that can be I'm still happy with the other changes. Feeling like I was backsliding with my allergies put me into a tailspin and then seeing the scale go up was the proverbial last straw.

I added lobster to my diet last night. It was wonderful! I was supposed to wait but I really don't like fish, and I've eaten fish once or twice a day for three weeks. Beans and nuts hate me, so I had nothing left. I need to add seafood back in so I can at least have a little choice in protein. Sole, cod, and wild salmon are getting very boring. I can hardly wait to introduce crab this weekend! <thanks all that's holy she didn't test positive for anti-bodies on seafood!> And considering I lived on it exclusively for a week about 2 weeks before I tested... I should be good!

I hate blogs...

... but the personal journal doesn't work for UM.

Week 4 is definitely not starting out as well as weeks 1-3. My weight is on a two day increase. Hormones are out of control. I've eaten something that has me so badly bloated I feel like the Good Year Blimp. I had to stop the broth because it was making me so gassy, and I've lost my appetite. I'm also out of digestive enzymes, just when I need them most. I took my last ones this morning. But my UM cookbook arrived today! Along with some really good comedy movies.

I will be downstairs watching movies and eating cherries tonight. :)
